My Heart Is Bleeding -Asamoah Gyan Speaks On Castro

Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan has finally spoken on the most discussed media news of the lost of his best friend Castro and his pall girlfriend Janet. these is what the worried Asamoah Gyan had to say:

On my own behalf and on behalf of my family and team, I wish to express profound gratitude to all Ghanaians, persons and institutions that have stood firmly behind us since Sunday July 6, 2014 when we had information that our close friend and brother, popular musician Castro (known in private life as Theophilus Tagoe) had gone missing on the Volta River together with an acquaintance, Miss Janet Bandu, who had apparently hitched a ride with Castro on a jet ski rented by Castro.
The last two weeks have been the most stressful period of my entire life and I have survived only by the grace of my Creator and the encouragement I continue to receive from Ghanaians and the persons around me.
Although the anxiety within my spirit is eating me up, we have remained united in hope and continue to remain optimistic as we endure these nightmarish periods of painful wait and watch hours turn into days and days turn into weeks.
I am very grateful to the search team that has worked tirelessly day and night in hope of finding Castro and Jane. I am particularly grateful to the Ghana Police Service particularly the Marine Police Unit (MPU), the Tema Police Command and the Ada Police Command. I am also grateful to the Ghana Navy, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, the Ada East District Assembly, local fishermen at Ada, traditionalists and the several individuals who joined in the search.
I thank the media, colleague footballers and musicians for standing by me.
The Tagoe family has shown me much love and support through these trying times and I thank them for the encouragement they gave me to return to my club and join the pre-season training.
Though I am geographically away, my spirit and mind is not away and I will be in constant communication with the team as we pray and await the long overdue good news.
I am a Christian and I believe in God. I have not stopped going on my knees to speak to my Maker about this incident and I want to personally appeal to all religious leaders in Ghana and all persons who believe in the power of prayer to intercede for the missing two.
My prayers and support lie firmly with Castro and Miss Jane Bandu and their families. We pray for strength and fortitude for all engaged in the search and we also call on anyone who has useful information to assist in this quest. God bless us all.

Wife Of Muntari Speaks After He Was Booted Out Of Black Stars Camp

Menaye Donkor, wife of Black Star player Sulley Muntari has reacted after news went viral that her husband who is one of the most experienced players in the Ghana squad has been sack from the Ghana camp and suspended indefinitely from playing for the Ghana Black Stars.

Menaye who is reported in Brazil with Sulley tweeted few minutes ago calling for calm and insisting that people should wait till they hear the side of her husband before they draw incomplete conclusion. “There is always two sides to every story….#Keepcalm”, Menaye tweeted.

Before Sulley’s unfortunate incident this morning, Menaye Donkor and Prince Kevin Boateng’s girlfriend Satta Melissa were spotted relaxing by the pool sipping on lemon juice in Brazil, whiles their football lovers-Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng were having tough times at camp with officials.

Few days ago, it was reported that Kevin Prince Boateng shouted at coach-Kwesi Appiah in front of several people, which did not go well with the management and created tension between Kwasi Appiah and Kevin.

On the other hand, Sulley Muntari allegedly got into a confrontation with one of the Black Stars’ committee members-Moses Parker Armah and Sulley reportedly punched his face which forced the management team to boot him out the Black Stars camp.

Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng were both sacked from the Black Star’s camp few hours ago and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reportedly approved Coach Kwesi Appiah’s decision to suspend both Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng indefinitely from the Black Stars.

The suspension takes immediate effect and according to the GFA, Kevin Prince Boateng’s indefinite suspension is due to vulgar verbal insults he threw at the Black Stars coach-Kwesi Appiah during the team’s training session in Maceio this week.

Kevin Prince Boateng who has already left the team’s camp has had his accreditation for the 2014 World Cup withdrawn with immediate effect.
Kevin Prince Boateng has confirmed he has been sent home but denied the charges, telling the German magazine Sport-Bild: “Sulley Muntari and I were just joking around, and the coach stopped the session and sent us back to the changing room.

“Afterwards I went to him and asked what he had against me and he started yelling. He insulted me. There were words like: ‘Fuck off’.”
Boateng added he “absolutely accepts” his suspension, but added: “No-one should think I insulted the coach. I’m travelling now, and I wish my colleagues all the best for the match against Portugal”, K.P Boateng stated.

Ghana Black Stars Coach Sacks Kevin Prince Boateng & Sulley Muntari From Camp

AC Milan star Sulley Muntari and Shalke 04 playmaker Kevin Prince Boateng have been sacked from the Ghana World Cup team by head coach James Kwasi Appiah, Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm.

The two have been embroiled in extreme indiscipline and been involved in troublesome acts at the teams' camps in Brazil and the coach now feels the two stars would be a distraction to the team with their continuous stay.

Muntari is alleged to have slapped a member of the Ghana National Team's management committee by name Moses Armah and even chased him with broken bottles at the hotel over disagreements with appearance fees and other bonuses owed the players.

Kevin, who returned from a premature international retirement few months to the World Cup is believed to have had several altercations with the head coach of the team at the training grounds.

The former AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspurs star publicly criticized the managers' formation and selection in the opening Group G loss to USA in Natal.

Muntari and Boateng were served with their letters early on Thursday morning and asked to get ready for their departure from the camp.

It was the proverbial final nail in the coffin in the international career of a player whose name has gone hand in hand with controversy. And now the Ghana Football Association is determined to act once and for all.

And with that game out of the way, the Milan star will in all likelihood may have played his final game in a Ghana shirt.

He was saved the sack from Black Stars duty at the 2010 world cup after players stepped in on his behalf after persistently challenging the authority of Milovan Rajevac in South Africa.

Boateng has been a major problem for Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah at the tournament arguing over everything from hotels to questioning every decision at training.

On the morning of his massive confrontation with Appiah, Kevin Prince Boateng told him in front of the players he had benched him while others played “stupid football.”

Blame Keshi For Nigeria’s Draw Against Iran—Okocha

Former Nigerian midfielder, Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha, has blamed the Super Eagles poor outing at the ongoing FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil to poor technical quality from the head coach, Stephen Keshi.

According to Okocha, Keshi has not brought any changes to the team, noting that this is what all African countries have been facing in this tournament.

“His changes were poor. He took out Moses and brought in Ameobi. I think that was a wrong change,” he observed.

Speaking as an analyst on Supersport, Okocha said Keshi should be held responsible for the lame approach the team adopted in the goalless draw against Iran last night.

The widely regarded ‘best Nigerian player’ of his generation, with displeasure, said he hopes Nigeria makes it through to the next rounds because the country’s expectation is high and that in football, the best team wins the competition.

Bukom Banku Stranded At Kotoka Airport

http://www.celebrities-newsblog.blogspot.com/2014/06/bukom-banku-stranded-at-kotoka-airport.html

Braimah "Bukom Banku" Kamoko has been left stranded at the Kotoka International Airport following a deadlock between the supporters and the flight attendants.

Bukom Banku, who recently routed his opponent Ayitey Powers in a ruthless bout, is reported to have complained bitterly about the sudden delay in their flight to watch the Black Stars' opening match Monday evening.

The Government of Ghana, as part of plans to motivate the national team players, arranged a flight for 500 supporters but it appears there has been a turn of events since about 400 soccer fans are said to have become stranded at the Airport.

According to Peace FM sources, the supporters were scheduled to leave the shores of Ghana over the weekend to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup; however their flight delayed and so, they were rescheduled to take off today at 6 am.

But as at 8 am, the supporters were still at the Airport and several of them reportedly are in a dilemma.

Braimah Kamoko and Ayitey Powers are among the frustrated supporters at the Kotoka Airport.

It could be recalled that the former President Jerry John Rawlings promised the two boxers ticket each to Brazil to watch the matches.

Peace FM's reporter Ama Amoakowaah Ogyampa, narrating the incident on Peace FM's 12 noon news bulletin said the boxers were booked to take off the shores today but they have joined other stranded supporters to register their displeasure with the Airport authorities.

Messi Fooled By Ronaldinho Lookalike - Check Pictures Yourself

Lionel Messi was taken by surprise during Argentina's training session on Wednesday by a pitch invader he briefly mistook for his former Barcelona team-mate and friend Ronaldinho.

Argentina trained in front of thousands of fans and press at Belo Horizonte's Estadio Independencia, where Ronaldinho regularly turns out for Atletico Mineiro.

After some light running, the Albiceleste squad were divided into small groups for games of football-tennis in a low-key session which finished amid chaos as over a dozen supporters climbed over the fences to invade the pitch and ran in search of a handshake or a hug from their heroes.

Most headed in Messi's direction and security guards were overwhelmed in their attempts to halt the fans as the practice was quickly brought to an abrupt end.

But the Argentine was initially fooled by the Ronaldinho double.

Robinson Oliveira, who works as a professional lookalike of the Brazilian forward, told Goal: "When he saw me he was shocked because he thought I was the real Ronaldinho and he told me that I didn't need to run on the pitch to see him.

"He said: 'What are you doing running on here to see me?' When he held my hand, I went down on my knees [and bowed]. It was so emotional."

He added: "I didn't plan this. I just thought to myself that I have to hold his hand because this is the only opportunity I will have to see him."

The lookalike, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the former Barca hero, ended up with a bloodied hand after scaling the fence in his adventure to meet Messi, but said: "It was worth it."

Asked which of the two players he prefers, he replied: "Ronaldinho, of course!"

Argentina and Messi kick off their World Cup campaign against Bosnia at the Maracana on Sunday.

The pound-for-pound No 1, who has won all 46 of his fights as a professional, made $105million (£62.5m) for his last two fights, against Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Marcos Maidana.

Mayweather, 37, beat Cristiano Ronaldo to top spot with basketball star LeBron James in third.

Mayweather also topped the list in 2013 with $85m (£51m), ousting Tiger Woods who been No 1 for the previous decade.

“I’m humbled and extremely fortunate to be recognised by Forbes as the highest-paid athlete once again,’ said Mayweather.

“I’m doing something that no other athlete is doing, promoting myself and seeing my hard work pay off in the form of record-breaking numbers. It’s all about hard work and dedication which is so important and a key part of my financial success.

“I’m grateful for my family, team and fans. Being able to take care of my family is my number one priority and the level of success that I’ve achieved allows me to give them the best. I look forward to stepping into the ring in September and doing what I do best.”

Mayweather will return to the ring on September 13, possibly in a rematch with Maidana who ran him close in Las Vegas last month.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid star Ronaldo leads a group of 15 footballers in the top 100. His endorsements with the likes of Nike and Samsung total $28m (£17m).

Miami Heat’s James is the NBA’s biggest endorsement star thanks to deals with Nike, McDonalds and Coca Cola.

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and NBA legend Kobe Bryant complete the top five while three women, all tennis players, make the top 100.

Maria Sharapova ranks at No 34, Li Na at No 41 and Serena Williams at No 55.

Franck Ribery Misses World Cup - Didier Deschamps has confirmed.

France attacker Franck Ribery will miss the World Cup through injury, Les Bleus coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed.

The Bayern Munich player, 31, has been ruled out after injuring his lower back in a training session on Friday.
"He is not capable of training for a few weeks, let alone playing a game," Deschamps told a news conference.

Lyon's Clement Grenier is also out with a hip injury, leading to a call-up for Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin.
Ribery pulled out of the training session after complaining of pain and was later taken for an MRI scan, which confirmed the extent of the injury.

The three-time French player of the year has been suffering from lower back pains for several weeks, playing only once for club or country since 29 April.

He managed 79 minutes in the German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund on 17 May and missed France's warm-up matches against Norway and Paraguay.

"He had to stop in training, the pain was too strong," added former Chelsea midfielder Deschamps.

"We made checks in the beginning of the afternoon, checks that confirmed the situation has aggravated."
Ribery, who has won 81 caps, was instrumental in France's qualifying campaign, scoring five goals for the 1998 world champions.

But his absence could present an opportunity to either 24-year-old midfielder Schneiderlin or Montpellier attacker Remy Cabella, who have been called into Deschamps' squad as replacements for Ribery and Grenier.
France start their Group E campaign on 15 June against Honduras. Les Blues will also meet Ecuador and Switzerland in the group stage.

Ribery was voted as the world's third best player of 2013 after Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.
He helped Bayern win the German league and cup double in 2013-14.
